Position Summary:
BeautyChoice.com is looking for an JuniorLevel Buyer with a strong passion for internet and retail merchandising and thrives on learning in a fast moving, business environment. Candidate must have at least two yeas buying experience for an online retail organization, or at least two years experience with a major brick-and-mortar retailer.
The Junior-Level Buyer is responsible for assisting and supporting the merchant team by analyzing competitor assortment, reviewing pricing and strategies, researching trends, uploading and managing new products, and acting as a liaison between vendors and internal sources. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work hard while having fun in a challenging and demanding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze reports on a daily basis to gain a working knowledge of the business. Analyze trends and identify opportunities to maximize sales.
- Maintain high level of quality in products by carefully screening new product submissions, managing product integrity, and analyzing return rates
- Work with the Buyer and vendor community to ensure proper set up of new SKUs; manage the product database of SKUs and communicate any changes to the merchandising organization
- Communicate new items to Marketing and Product Category Coordinators to ensure appropriate merchandising focus and successful product launch
- Ensure timely delivery of the products through consistent communication and follow-up with the vendor, distribution centers, and merchant team
- Compile and resolve all invoice/royalty report issues. Work with Finance to generate monthly and quarterly royalty accruals for vendors.
- Complete business recaps with direction from the Buyer
- Assist in preparation for pre-market analysis and seasonal planning process
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience as an assistant buyer or related merchandising role, preferably in online retail
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Highly proficient in Excel
- Results driven, detail oriented, and ability to initiate and lead projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to learn with an insatiable curiosity and strong problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task; operates with urgency, focus and discipline
- Understanding of e-Commerce and internet business metrics strongly desired

We are looking for a Web Marketing Manager, who will help improve our online conversion efforts through testing and search engine optimization. We want someone who has a great deal of experience and measured success in online marketing, specifically acquiring qualified customers and continually increasing customer lifetime value.
You will develop, implement and execute the online marketing strategies for our network of websites.
